We almost cried when we read them out loud together… they are really touching.
1. Euroscola, this is the name of the trip that was going to begin a few months ago. We were a group of pupils with major or minor relationship among us together with the English teacher, but as we were travelling together and knowing ourselves, a common ILLUSION grew: we were already a team, we were tied up together as the countries of our dear Europe are tied up too.
2. Most of us have learned things that, without this work, we would have never remembered, as for example, the difficulties we had to enter the European Union. Before this 30 years we were in a dictatorship and could not enter. Later many representatives of Spain struggled hard to get the entry of Spain and eventually, we entered on January 1, 1986.
3. After much thinking, we have considered that the European Union offers only advantages and we have not found any disadvantage for the countries that belong to it.
4. We think that Spain and the EU are ONE, we cannot name Spain without naming the EU.
5. Thanks to the European Union the countries in it have a better relationship among them since they have a link that makes them work together in creating agreements to reach such important aims as promoting the human rights and fighting to reach a real PEACE.
6. We have learned to do teamwork, to see that 28 countries of the EU are also working in as a team. Together they have improved the economy, the traffic among countries is easier, thanks to the same currency they have made the purchases and the communications among them easier.
7. If Spain was not in the EU, it would be a country with a worse economy and it would not be so well-known in the rest of the world, We would not have, for example the CAP, which has made the Spanish lands to modernize in great way. Learning things as these make you wish to join more interesting projects like this one because we will never forget about it. We hope to have more experiences of these along our life.
8. Our classmate Min, from China, has a curious thought: "I am from China and my thought is that after so many years living in Spain, I realize that I did not know anything about the European Union until I took part in this contest, and I learned many things, I even knew the mayor of Salamanca… I didn't know who he was!"
9. Now that the moment to finish the Project is coming, we are feeling a bit empty after going through so many nerves and so much work. Thanks to the European Parliament, teachers, friends and School for this unforgettable experience and for having encouraged us to live it.
10. For all members of the team, the project Euroscola does not only mean what we have worked to fulfill the blog, but it means much more... It has taught us to lose our fears, with nerves, why not, but we have been able to do things that before we could not have imagined: to dance, to be applauded, to face the audience, to interview important people, to think deeply about an hypothetical situation, etc. We have had to be more creative than never, to practise during many break times, and, with all these, we feel a little bit more mature in facing life!!
THANK YOU, EUROSCOLA.
