What would have happened if Ukraine had belonged to the European Union?

Hello! My name is Bogdan. I would like to tell you what would have happened if Ukraine , my native country, had been in the European Union.

In the first place, the currency wouldn't be the Grivna, but the Euro, so its economic system would completely change and, the great crisis in which the country is immersed, wouldn't exist.

On the other hand,  Ukraine is a country with many things to offer to the rest of Europe such as economically or culturally because, in my opinion, it has a very interesting culture.

That's why I think that if Ukraine had been in the European Union, the citizens would be now more independent from Russia, so the horrible war which is now taking place in its borders, wouldn't exist and inhabitants would be happier.
